Different offices can help you with your endorsement, depending on your situation.

 


Who can use the Ecclesiastical Endorsement System?

Anyone with a BYU account login with a linked Church Account can use the ecclesiastical endorsement system.

 


How can I check my endorsement status?

You can check your status by visiting https://endorse.byu.edu and logging in. If you are a student, you can also check your status in mymap.byu.edu.

If you have questions about your status, you can reach out to the appropriate office described in the "Need Help with your endorsement?" section above.



How do missionaries get an endorsement?

Currently serving missionaries may request an endorsement through https://endorse.byu.edu. The endorsement will be sent to the mission president so he can record the results of the interview.

Returned missionaries will meet with their local leaders.

I can't log inX  You must have a BYU account (NET ID and password) with a linked Church Account to log in.
I attend another Ward that is not my official ward.  Can I have that Bishop do my interview and Endorsement? X No. The Ecclesiastical Endorsement can only be given by the Bishop of the Ward in which your Membership records reside.
I asked for an endorsement, but I'm graduating soon and don't need one for next year.  XVisit with your priesthood leader so they know your situation.
I'm working on some issues with my Bishop, but I need an endorsement. What should I do? X Contact the Honor Code Office.
I'm not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What should I do? XXYou will still use https://endorse.byu.edu for your endrosement.

If this is your first time requesting an ecclesiastical endorsement, you will have the option of meeting with your own ecclesiastical leader or with a local Latter-day Saint bishop for your first interview. The endorsement portal (https://endorse.byu.edu) will guide you through the options. Your second interview will be done with a university chaplain. 

If you are renewing your endorsement, you will interview with a university chaplain.
I am a current BYU student who is applying to Graduate Studies, may I use https://endorse.byu.edu?  XYes, current BYU students may use https://endorse.byu.edu to apply to Grad Studies. 
Can applicants and students turn in a paper Endorsement form? XXEndorsements must be completed through https://endorse.byu.edu.

For those in areas of the world where a Church Account is not allowed, you can work with your local leaders on the process for your area.
