Teaching Assistants/Grading Assistants
You may wish to allow an assistant to enter or submit grades on your behalf. This functionality is available during the grading period by clicking the My Assistants button on the grade roll. It is also available before the grading period by going directly to the GRADE02 page in the AIM system.
- Grading assistant - Person who is allowed to enter grades for a specific section and submit those grades to the BYU Records Office during the grading period.
- Teaching Assistant - Person who is allowed to enter grades on the grade roll during the grading period but may not submit those grades to the Records Office. The course instructor or a grading assistant must submit the grades.
- Department Grade Roll Monitor - Person or persons designated in each college and department to monitor the submission of grades. This person has authority in the system to enter and submit grades for any professor in the college or department without any intervention necessary on the part of the instructor.
