Campus Television


Television service is available for all on-campus housing residents with a current contract. Content may be viewed using a computer browser, Android or Apple smart phone, or Roku device. 

 

Campus Television (Administrative and Academic Buildings)

Campus Television is available for university faculty and employees for academic purposes. The fee for this service is $50/user/month (requires department account code). Users may view HD channels from a computer browser, Android or Apple smart phone, or Roku device. Access this Service

Campus Television Accounts

An active Campus Television Account is required to access the Campus Television Service. These accounts are automatically granted for students living in on-campus housing as part of their contract.

University Faculty and Employees may purchase a Campus Television Account at a rate of $50/user/month (Department account code required). Visit the Television Service page for more information and to order the service. 

Viewing Locations

Users with an active Campus TV account may view Campus Television anywhere on campus using a browser or mobile device.

Accessing Campus Television

Web browser:

  1. Go to http://tv.byu.edu
    2. In the “Search for your school” box search for Brigham Young University
    3. Login using your BYU NetID and Password
    4. Select Watch Now or My DVR

Android and iOS Smart Phones:

  1. Install the Xfinity Stream app
    2. Follow the on-screen prompts, and select Xfinity On Campus students Sign in here 
    3. Search, or scroll down to Brigham Young University
    4. Authenticate using your BYU Net ID and password

Display Monitor or Television (No Computer)

  1. Purchase a Roku streaming device. BYU does not have units available for rent.
    2. Install the Xfinity Stream Beta app
    3. The first time the app is used the user will be prompted to Get Started by using a browser to navigate to https://xfinity.com/authorize and then enter the provided code provided into the Xfinity Stream app.
    4. Within the Xfinity Stream app, at the login screen select Xfinity On Campus Students Sign in Here, which appears at the bottom of the screen.
    5. Select Brigham Young University from the list
    6. Login with your NetID and password
    7. A Success! screen will be displayed and the user will be able to navigate the channel options.
